Today is a challenging day for my family and me, a day we dread each year, yet it's also an opportunity to lean on our faith and find solace in the midst of tragedy. Because today marks a painful milestone that we never thought we'd face, a day of unimaginable loss when our beloved Cody was taken from us suddenly due to Covid complications. The grief etched on my wife and children's faces is a heartbreaking sight, one that weighs heavily on my heart. Still, through our unwavering faith in Jesus, we're able to transform this sorrowful tale into a narrative of hope and peace. As Jesus so eloquently put it, 'My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.' Though it's hard to feel that way in this moment, I know it's true.
