Saquon Barkley was so fun to watch at Penn State 🔥
Barkley played three seasons at Penn State from 2015 through 2017 and finished as one of the most decorated running backs in program history, totaling 3,843 rushing yards, 1,195 receiving yards, and 53 touchdowns across his college career.
As a sophomore in 2016, Barkley rushed for 1,496 yards and 18 touchdowns while adding 28 receptions for 402 yards, earning first-team All-Big Ten honors and becoming one of the most recognized offensive players in the country. He repeated those performances as a junior in 2017, rushing for 1,134 yards and scoring 18 total touchdowns while also serving as one of Penn State’s most productive receiving backs on third downs.
His combination of yards after contact, open-field acceleration, and pass-catching ability from the backfield were consistently cited by scouts as traits that did not require projection — they were visible at full speed against Big Ten competition.
