Blind party voting has consequences. For years, Idahoans have been told to “vote red” no matter what. But after decades of one-party control, we need to ask what that has delivered for regular families. Idaho faces budget cuts. Schools still fight for basic funding. Health care access keeps shrinking in rural communities. Infrastructure struggles to keep up. Fire funding became a debate in a state where wildfire risk affects all of us. Water and land need serious stewardship, not neglect. Meanwhile, the wealthiest few and large corporations keep getting breaks while working families carry more of the burden. Voting should not mean handing power to the same people again and again without asking what they have done with it.
