lovable.dev helped build ARA, an app helping people break free from doom scrolling through color-based emotional check-ins. No words needed. ARA was created by Frankie & Pelumi, a husband-and-wife team in Nigeria. Yogis turned entrepreneurs and non-technical founders backed by the NVIDIA Inception Program. The platform interrupts mindless scrolling with a simple but powerful idea: every 9 minutes, users pick a color as a quick emotional pulse, with deeper check-ins every 60 minutes. The inspiration came from their 14-month-old son Iko and the concept of pre-verbal communication. In Pelumi’s words: “The phone cannot have this much power over you. What if there was something that could bring your attention back to the present while you’re having a digital experience? That’s how this all started.” The entire platform was built using Lovable.
