Stop, you’re making me blush 😊 Nebulae are full of the ingredients needed to make new stars, and gravity is the catalyst that turns these materials into young, developing stars called protostars. The protostars in this nebula, photographed by NASAHubble, are particularly large, throwing radiation and stellar wind out into the surrounding space. The young stars’ radiation excites the hydrogen gas in this nebula, making it emit light (depicted in pink).
