Earlier this week, a D.C. fifth grader forgot his trumpet on the Metrobus on his way home from school. But it turns out, a good Samaritan was watching out for him — the bus driver himself, who helped save the day on his day off.⁠ ⁠ "I couldn’t find it and I was like, 'Yep, I lost it."⁠ ⁠ Fifth grader Theo Littlepage had left his prized possession on the bus.⁠ ⁠ His mom filed a report with Metro, but it can often take days to recover lost items, and there was a big band recital the next day. But just when all hope seemed lost, Theo's brother stopped him at school the next morning with good news.⁠ ⁠ "He was like, 'Guess what? The Metrobus driver came to the school and dropped off your trumpet!'" Theo said.⁠ ⁠ As it turns out, Metrobus driver Michael Fabio remembered seeing the boys in their school uniforms every day.
