ESCOBAR EARNS A PAIR OF HONORS: Congrats to senior Liliana Escobar of the jserra.softball team, who was named the Orange County Register’s Girls Athlete of the Week and the Cal-Hi Sports Softball Player of the Week. Escobar tossed a 10-strikeout complete game 1-0 victory over the Pacifica Mariners in the CIF-SS Division 1 quarterfinals last Wednesday and then added a 14-strikeout complete game 2-0 victory over the Norco Cougars in the Division 1 semifinals. Escobar, who is 17-5 overall on the season, has also recorded a school-record 252 strikeouts heading into Friday's CIF-SS Division 1 Championship Game against La Mirada. #lionnation #jserrasoftball #jserraathletics
