LIONS POSTGAME: The duo of senior pitcher Liliana Escobar and sophomore catcher Annabel Raftery once again propelled the jserra.softball team to a monumental postseason triumph on Saturday, as Raftery clubbed her program-record 12th homerun of the season and Escobar pitched a complete game shutout with 14 strikeouts to lead the Lions past the Norco Cougars 2-0 in the CIF-SS Division 1semifinals game at Norco High School in Norco. Raftery highlighted her mentality of looking for a pitch to make solid contact with and once again putting the Lions ahead in a high-stakes postseason game. Escobar provided insight on her standout performance against a talented Norco lineup for the third time this season and the team’s collective focus as they prepare to try and bring home the program’s first CIF-SS title next week. #lionnation #jserrasoftball #jserraathletics
