That is the part we often forget when conversations about migration become angry or dehumanising. Behind every migrant, refugee, or person seeking safety, there is a human story. There may be loss. There may be trauma. There may be years of starting again quietly, working hard, trying to belong, and hoping to be seen as more than a label. Many migrants contribute to the communities around them every day. They work in our hospitals, schools, transport systems, care homes, businesses, and neighbourhoods.
