Matt Lyda, the original Six Feet Under co-host with Undertaker, says he is not bitter about leaving the show and is pushing back against the perception that he resents Michelle McCool, who replaced him as co-host.
"I am not bitter. I am not upset with them at all. Just a couple weeks ago I was talking to Taker. It was his birthday and I reached out. He goes, 'Me too, man.'"
What he does feel: "I'm jealous of the guests they have on right now. I would have loved to have interviewed Shawn Michaels."
On Michelle McCool: "She opened up her home to me. I played with their kids. I broke bread with these people. She cooked meals for me. She has been nothing but a phenomenal person to me and to my wife. I will never say anything negative about Michelle McCool."
On not wanting to be used as a vehicle for fan hate directed at McCool: "I don't want people making negative comments to her and going, 'I wish I had Matt.' And if that is how she feels, I'm very sorry."
