I had the privilege of joining the bionic.project at MKA last week to observe their assembly about adaptive sports and inclusive education around people of all abilities. It didn’t just end with an assembly as they took it to the next level with a full day of workshops around amputee soccer. We leveled it up even more as they took the time to teach this blind guy how to play. It was wild learning how to use forearm crutches as an extension of my arms, using only 1 leg and my special soccer ball for the blind with sound inside it. Learning to run was so fun and I even figured out how to score a goal once someone showed me where the actual goal was.
