On nearly 200 acres of southern Gotland, a former horse farm has been turned into Sweden's first boutique farmstay with thatched stone buildings, kitchen gardens, curly-haired pigs, and a natural swimming pool edged with wildflowers. The barn restaurant is a compelling reason to make the trip alone and books out weeks in advance. The kitchen follows the farm calendar down to what's ready to pull that day and closes for winter to allow the land to rest.
