Riding on a real train for the first time in my life! From Durango, Colorado to Silverton, Colorado and back!! Absolutely LOVED IT!! What we did and what I wish we had done: -we booked tickets in the vintage coach, furtherest one from the locomotive, loved being in the middle of the train assembly! -Next time I would book my seat on the RIGHT side of the isle! While you do get to see the views on both sides because the train turns around at the top… from a photographer viewpoint, I thought the right side had all the best opportunity for seeing the Locomotive in prime locations around the bends!! -I’d do the train one way up and ride a bus back down! Because the ride is 3.5 hours ONE WAY, it made for a long journey back home 😜 (the train travels slower than I anticipated) still fun to go up and down, but I’d do it differently next time 🥰) -Bring a snack bag, you can leave it on the train while you shop in Silverton, I wasn’t overly impressed with the concessions they offered, so...
