Red light therapy might work. But here's the problem — people using red light are also doing microneedling, laser treatments, retinol, sunscreen, antioxidants.
So how do you tease out what's actually improving your skin?
If you're going to invest in red light, the essentials come first: sunscreen every day (non-negotiable), retinol or AHA exfoliation, antioxidants before SPF. Then — and only if you're committed to consistent use — red light might add benefit.
But pulling it out once or twice a month? You're wasting your money.
Red light works best as part of a solid routine. Not as a replacement for one.
