Wait for your moment. Don't pepper the CRNA with questions during induction. Drapes up, charting done, things are calm — that's when you go. They'll ask if you have questions. Have your list ready.
Ask about the job itself. Not just what they love (they're expecting that one). Ask what they don't love. Ask what their schedule actually looks like. Call frequency, shift length, whether they get out on time. The real version, not the recruiting brochure version.
Ask about school. Would they choose their program again. What surprised them. What nobody warned them about before they started. What they'd do differently.
Ask about politics, this one is loaded.
Before you leave, get their email. You may need a signature verifying your hours. You may have follow-up questions. You just never know.
