This Caprese bread is a perfect summer meal idea all by itself or served or served alongside a platter of grilled chicken or sausages. I am serving them up this weekend with some grilled clams and a salad. Simple, Seasonal and so Delicious 🍅 🥖 🌿 . . . Caprese Pesto Bread . . . I used a Ciabatta demi baguette from Trader Joe’s, but really any loaf of bread will do fine. Slice it in half, toast it slightly just until it starts to turn golden and then spread with pesto, either homemade or store bought. Layer with shingled slices of tomato and mozzarella and season with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with some grated Parmesan. Bake in a 350F oven for 20 minutes and then I finished it under the broiler for a couple minutes more. Finish with some fresh basil on top and optional is to drizzle with either balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze . . . . . . #baguette #caprese #capresebread
