In Focus: David Hammons, ‘Untitled’, c.1990 at White Cube New York⁠ ⁠ Hammons relocated to New York in the 1970s, making objects and interventions on the streets of Harlem, pursuing a specific, non-artworld audience and reappropriating street detritus and street language.⁠ ⁠ In ‘Untitled’ (c.1990), rubber and plastic bags are wrapped around a coat rack, topped with a found hat and paper bag.
