#Repost @ade.ominira ... currently re-reading “the will to change” by bell hooks. all these beta males, podcasts bros and red pill goofys triggered me 😂 one of the most important things this book exposes is that patriarchy is not gendered and isn’t just harming women… it is emotionally disconnecting men, destabilizing families, and shaping entire generations of people who crave intimacy but were never taught how to sustain it. bell hooks doesn’t frame patriarchy as “men are evil & women are innocent.” she frames it as the fucking system and psyop that it is. conditioning human beings away from love, vulnerability, emotional wholeness, closeness, intimacy, care, and authentic connection. many boys like myself are taught early “man up…stop crying… don’t be a bitch about it… be strong.” emotional suppression became masculinity. domination became power. vulnerability became weakness. now society acts shocked 😒 when emotionally disconnected adults struggle with intimacy, accountabi...
