For 30 years, Timika served her country with honor, rising through the ranks and eventually becoming a Navy Captain before retiring in 2021. But her greatest legacy may not have been the medals or titles she earned… it was the example she set at home. On May 26, 2023, her daughter, Elise Lindsay, walked across the very same stage at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland — becoming an Ensign in the United States Navy.
