Sonny Rollins was a respectful neighbor. More notably, he was one of the greatest saxophonists of his time. To give his neighborhood some peace and quiet away from the wailing of his brass instrument, Rollins took to practicing on the Williamsburg Bridge. During a hiatus from recording music, Rollins was spotted at the bridge every day, no matter the season. After his break, he made an album titled 'The Bridge,' released in 1962.
