For comparison, Phoenix’s all-time record is 122°F, recorded in June 1990. At 128°, the heat is beyond uncomfortable. Asphalt can get hot enough to burn skin, car interiors can become dangerous in minutes, and being outside for too long can quickly become a serious health risk.
