A 70-year-old woman had to be rescued by helicopter after suffering a significant leg injury while hiking in Aravaipa Canyon. According to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, Search and Rescue crews responded Monday afternoon and lowered a rescue specialist down to reach the injured hiker. Officials say her leg injury was stabilized on scene before rescuers safely hoisted her out of the canyon.
