MCSO says two young men drowned in separate incidents at the Salt River during Memorial Day holiday weekend. According to officials, the first incident happened after 3 p.m. Saturday when 22-year-old Sahr Sewah was reported missing at the river. Authorities say he was later found Sunday around noon. The second incident happened Monday morning near Stewart Mountain Dam, when officials received reports of a man struggling in the water. MCSO identified the victim as 23-year-old Jason Blake Jr. Witnesses reportedly told officials he was swimming across the river when he began struggling near the middle. Both investigations are still underway. The Salt River is one of the most popular summer spots in Arizona, but weekends like this are a reminder of how quickly things can turn serious on the water. Please stay safe, watch your people, and don’t underestimate the current. Prayers to the families and loved ones of both men. Via MCSO Send us stories to be featured on DownInnaDesert. #S...
