A doorway to home. For her public art installation "About a Living Culture" in Jackson Heights, Queens, Nepalese artist IMAGINE (a.k.a. Sneha Shrestha imagine876) drew inspiration from the lattice windows, or ankhi jhyal, of Kathmandu and the repetition of the Nepali letter “Ka.” Repeated again and again, the form becomes meditative and an invitation to pause, reflect, and connect.
