From Studio 454, today’s #Artist365 artist is Laurie Simko. Laurie Simko is an oil painter and collage artist whose focus and inspiration come from the natural world. She explores the richness of life in the streams, marshes, woods and gardens around her. She looks for the interconnections, shared origins and interdependence with the plant and animal world. Her award-winning work is exhibited in galleries and organizations throughout New England and NYC. She is the recipient of 2 Mass Cultural Council Grants for 2 solo exhibitions of a series of portraits of nurses during the 2020 pandemic.
