BET My motivation to join the BET NextGen Program is deeply rooted in a lifelong dedication to Black culture and a proven track record of amplifying underrepresented voices through innovative multimedia. As Samantha Samaka, known professionally as OKAAYSAMi, and through my ventures SAMiProductions, OKAAYSAMi’s Chatterbox, and SAMivision TV, I have consistently championed authentic storytelling and cultural commentary. BET, for over 40 years, has been the unparalleled platform celebrating Black excellence, and I see the NextGen Program as the ultimate convergence of my passion and purpose. Having already appeared on stage at the BET Awards for two consecutive years, I understand the immense impact and reach of this institution.
