Northside has now had two mass shootings this year on the same block. Nine people have been shot in the neighborhood this year compared to just six in all of 2025.
Just before 2 a.m. on May 26, four people were shot in the 4000 block of Hamilton Avenue. One is in critical condition, the others suffered less severe injuries, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.
Police called the shooting an isolated incident but have not released further details about what led to the shooting.
This mass shooting comes just three months after another shooting in February left two wounded and two dead.
The neighborhood on pace to have its worst year of gun violence since at least 2010 when the Cincinnati Police Department started tracking shootings in an online database.
In the past 15 years, Northside has never had more than 12 people shot in a single year.
