WRT has dominated this event the last three years, this year marking BMW’ fourth manufacturer win for the event. From partly sunny skies to torrential thunderous downpour, the red flag held up the race up until the last couple hours of the race coming down to numerous pit lane stop strategies which propelled van der Linde ahead of his teammate, team_rmarciello. With the safety car out for the rest of the race, #46 kept the lead for the final crossing of the bricks.
