Trevor Bauer is an American professional baseball pitcher who made his MLB debut in 2012 after being selected third overall in the 2011 MLB Draft. He played for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Cleveland Indians, Cincinnati Reds, and Los Angeles Dodgers. Bauer won the National League Cy Young Award in 2020 after an outstanding season with the Reds. In 2021, Bauer’s career was affected by legal and disciplinary issues. MLB suspended him under its domestic violence and sexual assault policy, although he was never criminally charged. After his suspension was reduced on appeal, the Dodgers released him in 2023. Since leaving MLB, Bauer has continued his career internationally in Japan and Mexico.
