Happy Pride Month 🌈✨ Every June, communities around the world celebrate Pride Month. Pride Month is a time to honor LGBTQ+ history, recognize the progress that has been made, and recommit ourselves to creating a more inclusive future. Pride traces its roots to the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York City, where LGBTQ+ people, particularly trans women, queer people of color, and other marginalized community members, resisted discrimination and police harassment. Their courage helped spark a movement that continues today. Pride is also a reminder that community matters. Whether you're looking to learn more about LGBTQ+ history, find support, connect with others, or simply celebrate, there are resources available right here in State College and at Penn State.
