I have watched nomadicnovelties and recently, terratwine, make lighter cases in awe and have wanted to try it myself. Finally I gave it a shot and I’m hooked. I will be making more, here is what I learned while making my first one: I baked the case frame ahead of time so I would have a solid piece to work on. I was worried the case would be too loose after I baked it and I was very wrong, it shrunk enough that it is almost too tight! It also turned out a little short from the shrinking so next time I will be less worried about wrapping it tightly and cut the top a little above where I want it. Polymer clay barely shrinks when baked, it’s basically impossible to notice unless it’s a project like this. Now we all know! #polymerclay #artist #lighter #case #mushrooms
