Waste management companies are calling for a deposit scheme to be put in place after a number of explosions and fires caused by vapes. Despite disposable vapes being banned a year ago, waste bosses believe there isn't enough being done to promote the safe recycling of rechargeable vapes, believing a returnable deposit of £5 would encourage people to return their old vapes when buying a new one.
