Good Day, Friends,
Colorado Parks and Wildlife (coparkswildlife) reminds everyone to give Moose plenty of space when enjoying Colorado’s outdoors.
Moose are incredible animals with very few natural enemies in the wild. They often do not fear humans as much as other animals do and may tolerate people at closer distances - or even approach them.
While conflicts with people are uncommon, caution and common sense go a long way. If you encounter a Moose, give them space, keep dogs leashed, and back away if they show any signs of aggression.
By respecting wildlife and understanding their behavior, we can help keep both people and animals safe while enjoying Colorado’s incredible outdoors.
