Today we are honoring our final sophomore Raylene Cruz from Morgan Hill, Ca!! Raylene has been a true leader for our program over the past two years. She came to us with a strong connection to our program as the younger sister of Viking Softball alum Reyna Cruz, and she quickly embraced our values, work ethic, and traditions. She leads by example as both a vocal presence and a tireless work ethic, always willing to put in the extra effort to elevate herself and those around her. Raylene has excelled throughout her time here, she has compiled an impressive 88 career hits and 18 doubles. Earning herself the Female Student Athlete of the Year for West Valley College Athletics, All-Northern Team honors and 1st Team Coast Conference in 2026!! Raylene is the kind of athlete every program hopes to have for more than two years. She plans to continue her athletic career at the next level, with Simpson University on scholarship!
