Want to create a reactive dog? Take them to a dog park. Want a non-reactive dog? The trick is making yourself more interesting than the dog across the street. Every time my young dog sees another dog in public, I engage with them through play & positive reinforcement. And I sure as heck make sure they’re ignoring the surroundings. That’s how you build a dog that’s reliable around distractions.
