✨today we’re talking about - APERTURE✨ aperture = the opening in your lens which controls how much light hits the sensor (measured in F stops) the larger aperture (smaller F number- i just want to have a talk with the person who decided this LOL) allows more light to hit the sensor and creates a shallow depth of field the smaller aperture limits the amount of light that hits the sensor which creates a deep depth of field i like to remember this by using the pool analogy! *refer to slide 3* and then i threw in some examples of a larger and a smaller aperture!!! follow to continue to learn as I learn <3 #photographybasics #photographylearning #aperture #photographycourse
