Ottawa’s average was 191.9¢/L on May 21 and is now 170.9¢/L, a drop of 21¢/L in just over a week (with lows of 140s today at some stations). The decrease comes after global oil prices fell amid easing tensions in the Middle East, reducing concerns about potential supply disruptions. As oil prices dropped, fuel prices across Ontario followed suit, leading to one of the largest declines seen in recent weeks. While not every station is selling gas below $1.50/L, several locations across Ottawa have already dipped into the $1.40s, giving drivers a welcome break after months of higher prices.
