In 1986, while Ferrari updated the iconic Testarossa with its new dual side mirrors, the brand quietly built a one-off version for Giovanni Agnelli, head of Fiat and Ferrari’s biggest shareholder. Unlike every other Testarossa of its time, this car was a Spider. Built by Pininfarina’s special projects division, chassis 62897 featured a custom silver-grey finish with a subtle blue stripe, matching Agnelli’s personal taste. Some of its windows even carried rare Pininfarina markings, something never seen on standard models. After a serious leg injury from a car accident in the 1950s, Agnelli struggled to use a traditional Ferrari clutch, so the car was fitted with a special hydraulic system designed around his needs.
