Pitch Perfect’s Anna Kendrick has been tapped to direct ‘The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo,’ Taylor Jenkins Reid’s 2017 novel, multiple outlets reported. According to Deadline, Anna is reuniting with Netflix for the project following the success of her directorial debut, ‘Woman of the Hour.’ Anna is reportedly directing the adaptation with Liza Chasin producing through 3Dot Productions as well as Brad Mendelsohn for Circle Management + Productions and David Hinojosa. Leslye Headland was previously named as director of the film in 2023, however Variety reports she left the project for unspecified reasons.
