Meet Class of 2026 graduate Tyra Alexander, an English major with a journalism specialization from Bowie, Maryland! Driven by her passion for journalism, Tyra embraced leadership opportunities across Loyola—writing for Loyola’s student-run newspaper (TheGreyhoundNews), literary magazine (CorridorsMag), and the University’s chapter of Her Campus (HCAtLUM). Tyra’s first Her Campus story was featured by the official HerCampus account, which led to her becoming a national writer for the platform, covering major events including the 2024 Summer Olympics and the 2025 Grammys.
