The DPRK marked International Children's Day in Pyongyang with traditional games, music and performances involving local and foreign children.
State media footage showed children taking part in activities including jump rope, tug of war and circle dancing, while others performed using traditional Korean instruments such as the Gayageum.
According to KCNA, the event was attended by senior officials, foreign diplomats, a delegation of Korean schoolchildren from Japan and overseas Koreans. Children from nurseries, orphanages and kindergartens in Pyongyang also took part.
