The courage and compassion this community showed in protecting their neighbors and defending human rights and democracy during Operation Metro Surge continues to be recognized at a global level. Case in point: the people of the Twin Cities will be receiving the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award later this month – and these four community leaders will represent us at the ceremony in Boston on May 31. Of course, the work isn’t done – the City is deeply invested in helping individuals, families, and businesses move forward from the damage inflicted this winter.
