Next up is our Willa! Willa has been rowing for JR Crew since 8th grade Learn to Row, and over the last five years, she’s been a massive part of this team’s biggest moments. Including winning WMIRAs to helping the 1V pull off the highest finish in girls’ history at Head of the Charles this year. But honestly, even with a closet full of medals, Willa is always the first person to laugh at herself. We will never let her live down the time she somehow managed to both flip and sink an 8. She helps us power through our race pieces and encourages us to fuel up (her particular favorite was the chili and Call Your Mother bagels at the Chuckwagon Tent). Willa is just the best teammate and leader we could ask for in the 1V. Also, you can always count on her to ask the coxswain to pull out their cellphone for boat selfies and gorgeous sunrise or sunset pictures.
