Next up is the legendary Gideon! Gideon is a School Without Walls kid who has been anchoring this program for five years, starting all the way back in 8th grade Learn to Row. As our 1V coxswain for the last three years, his dominance on the water is completely undisputed. He led the freshman boat to a massive victory at WMIRAs, and he just keeps delivering, ultimately steering the 1V8 to a program-best finish at WMIRAs. To the team, Gideon is so much more than just the guy holding the steering lines, he is a total inspiration and a poker demon. Whether he is commanding the boat during a brutal morning practice or sitting at a Scrabble or poker table, Gideon is always planning, figuring out exactly how to outsmart anyone who dares to go up against him. Gideon is heading off to Dartmouth College this fall to study Statistics and join the D1 lightweight rowing team. He leaves us with a legacy to uphold! Dartmouth is getting a good one.
