Good to be back on the field for OTA’s (Organized Team Activities - which contrary to popular belief are not bowling or camping excursions, but are essentially non-mandatory off-season practices). It’s energizing, inspiring and a blessing to be able to capture the passion of this team, and I’m forever grateful for these opportunities. Players aren’t the only ones getting ready for the season- each time I’m shooting I’m working on my focus, timing and composition. I also realize after going over some recent work that I need to find more “moments” and to stretch a little creatively, which I’ve been working hard at. I shot most of these with the NIkon Z6III combined with a 70-200mm zoom with a 1.4 extender, and the rest with a Z 8 and 24-120mm lens. As photographers we understandably lust for the top-of-the-line camera bodies and biggest, longest fastest lenses, but images can be made and moments captured by whatever camera and lens we have.
