The goaltender initiates his sight line and the drill begins when the shooter banks the puck off the boards. Player one may open up to either side. • player two is in the high slot with his back to the net. This is done for two reasons: it conceals ever so slightly the initial read for the goaltender and it doesn’t allow the Shooter to just sit there and get a shot off without any pressure on them. Both the goaltender and the shooter are forced to get a quick read. Keep an eye on this 2007 prospect this season.
