Behind the Scenes on the set of the iconic movie ‘The Shining’ (1980) directed by Stanley Kubrick. 🎬 The director initially did not want to make The Shining, as he felt that the supernatural elements in the story would be difficult to portray realistically on film. He was eventually convinced by producer Jan Harlan to take on the project. Stanley Kubrick shot over a million feet of film, which is approximately equal to four times the amount of film used in an average feature-length film. Stephen King was not a fan of Kubrick’s interpretation of his novel, stating that the film “is a great big beautiful Cadillac with no engine inside.” The Shining was not a box office success upon its initial release, but it has since gained a cult following and is now considered a classic of the horror genre. 📸 Choose your Favorite Photography ?
