legends never die. in honor of Steve Prefontaine’s last race (may 29, 1975) and his tragic death (may 30, 1975) while i no longer work for the preclassic, i’ll never forget the opportunity to dig through old Pre footage and honestly just nerd out a bit while creating modern-day content from it. these pieces were made with so much heart. i used to watch the movie “Pre” before my high school cross country races, and even now i still make the people closest to me watch it too. growing up, i romanticized the city he lived in and oregontf, which is why living in eugene for two years is something i’ll always keep close to my heart. it’s a city enriched with running culture and history unlike anywhere else. #prelives 🕊️ archival footage credit to uolibraries
