My beloved CA folks!! The gubernatorial primary is Tuesday, June 2nd. THIS is when we push to get a progressive Democrat on the ballot — and that person is clearly Tom Steyer. I’ve been doing the research and the meetings with candidates since we had a leadership dust up, and I am SO impressed with Tom. I’m with Steyer because he wants to tax billionaires and corporations (including himself because hello! We need one billionaire who doesn’t suck and pays his taxes!), he refuses to take money from corporate special interests (while I’ve sadly learned his opponent, Becerra, does. And many of those donors shocked me), and Tom is a decades-long climate advocate!! Which matters so so much to state like California. And for my LGBTQ fam? Tom has also been the most vocal democratic candidate speaking up on behalf of the trans community. He isn’t diminishing anyone to play in the gutter with the GOP.
