Starting with just one plant and four trucks in 1986, Lauren Concrete now operates three aggregate quarries and manages an all-Mack fleet of 292 trucks.
As Austin transformed into a Lone Star Silicon Valley, this family-founded powerhouse kept pace by choosing equipment rugged enough to survive the brutal Texas heat and diverse terrain. Their 40-year partnership with Mack is built on pure durability—proven by one 2014 Mack Pinnacle in their fleet that has clocked nearly 850,000 miles.
The vast majority of Lauren Concrete's fleet, however, are Mack Granite ready-mix trucks. And the mixers are built for whatever terrain Texas can throw at them, from muddy plains to rocky hills.
"That is probably the biggest thing. We are on road, off road every day. The trucks take a beating, and the Macks have proven to withstand the work that we do," says Robert Conrad vice president of operations at Lauren Concrete.
